April 2022 Price Increase Notification

Effective April 4^th, 2022, we will be implementing a price increase for our aluminum products and Automate remote controls.

Aluminum price increase clarification

As in recent communications regarding aluminum pricing, we have continued to see dramatic spikes in our costs and continued to bear most of the burden for our customers.  We have seen the London Metals Exchange (LME) and our material cost rise at a much more rapid pace than we have translated back to our customers in the form of price increases. 

As a benchmark for both our costs as well as a general barometer for the commodity, we’ve included a chart below depicting the steep rise of aluminum costs as reported from the LME below.  The cost of aluminum as reported has risen ~55% over the last 12 months and ~30% since our last price increase announced in October 2021.

Automate remote controls price increase clarification

As previously noted in our February 2021 price increase letter related to tariffs on Automate Lithium-Ion motors, our remote controls were also included within the same tariff burden since that time.  For the last 15 months, we have not translated that cost increase back to our customers and covered that burden on our end.  Since that time, we have received material cost increases on our remotes and can no longer continue to bear those costs solely at Rollease Acmeda. 

Ordering logistics

Orders placed on or before April 4^th, 2022 with immediate release, characterized as released for immediate shipment, will be invoiced at current prices.  In order to support our customers as fairly as possible, we will use our discretion to allocate inventory for orders placed between now and April 4^th based on allocated existing inventory capable of shipment within this timeframe.  We reserve the right to not accept orders that are extraordinary in volume or otherwise materially out of the ordinary.

Orders placed on or before April 4^th without immediate release will be invoiced at the new prices.  All orders, irrespective of quotation date, entered or released after April 4^th will be invoiced at the new prices.
