Shade Control/Pairing Issues (EL Mode)
Why is my Paradigm remote not controlling or pairing with my shade?
If your Paradigm remote is not pairing with or controlling your shades, it might be in the wrong mode. This article outlines troubleshooting steps to check and resolve this issue.
Paradigm Remote Modes
- ARC Mode: Controls standard Rollease Acmeda ARC motors. This is the correct mode for most users.
- EL Mode: Designed for older or other motors.
Note: Switching modes is possible when replacing the battery and can happen if P2 is pressed accidentally.
How do I switch my remote between ARC and EL mode?
On the back of the remote, remove the cover.
Remove the battery.
While holding P2, reinsert the battery.
