Rollease Acmeda were thrilled to exhibit for the first time as a global company at the R+T Trade Fair 2018 - the world's leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection systems. The event held in Messe Stuttgart, Germany ran for 5 days, from 27 February to Saturday 3 March, with over 65,000 visitors attending the fair.

As mass crowds entered Hall 7, Rollease Acmeda took prime position, with our impressive stand at the front and centre of the hall, taking up 312 square metres, and reaching heights in excess of 7 metres. The innovative design certainly made an impact, and drew visitors to the stand where our enthusiastic sales team eagerly informed and demonstrated our latest product innovations and visual product displays to our guests.

The space was zoned into four core product ranges, lining the outskirts of the stand: Automation, Indoor Shades, Outdoors Shades and our Fabric Gallery, all featuring Augmented Reality and Smart Home displays. A fifth area, dedicated to socialising and networking, boasted a 9 metre blue lit bar, and meeting zones, including lounges and meeting tables, consumed up to one third of the stand and proved extremely popular among guests.

Winner of the Excellent Product Design Award in the Home Textile and Home Accessories category at the German Design Awards 2018, our premium Aero Dual roller shade system that independently controls two shades with only one chain or chainfree mechanism, showcased our slimmest headbox - the only one of its kind, measuring only 103mm x 135mm. We also exhibited, our popular RB09 chain control solution boasting our Easy Lock technology, with up to 10mm idle end adjustment and our latest innovations for Rollers - our Bottom Up system, which provides privacy while letting light shine in from above and our motorised Zipscreen Skylight System, suspended overhead in the centre of the area.

Visitors downloaded our free Rollease Acmeda AR app on their smart phone and held their phones over the marker to see the systems come to life on their phones. Visitors were also able to move around for a panoramic view of the shade and expand and collapse all the parts which make up the system. Our Smart Home Automation graphic, a fully interactive display, allowed guests to open and close shades, activate wind and sun sensor awning control and see voice activation devices and cloud-based services such as IFTTT, Alexa & Google home.

Visitors gathered in a comfortable atmosphere to chat and wind down or rest. Our barista was kept busy, serving over 700 coffees while our bar staff offered visitors a range of refreshments from soft drinks and juices to wine and beer.

It was such a pleasure to share our new product innovations with the industry and catch up with all our valued customers. The R+T show 2018 proved to be extremely successful and not to be missed in 2021.
